CONTINENTAL ROLLER SHUTTERS These types of shutters are an excellent deterrent to thieves and vandals when installed on peoplešs homes and offices. They can be manually or electronically operated and offer the added benefit of security, heat and sound insulation as well as shading and complete privacy to a room. Swivel & geared belt Shutters These shutters are raised and lowered from inside by a belt. Depending upon shutter size the belt is operated manually or by geared crank handle. This is a lower security option. These shutters are raised and lowered from inside by a geared rod crank winding handle which hangs down vertically underneath the box and secures on a clip when not in use. For external operation on exit doors, shutters can be spring-loaded with a transverse key lock in the bottom slat. Also a popular option for bar, servery, counter, cabinet and kiosk applications. (N.B. The bottom slat projects below the shutter when fully raised, check that this will not obstruct outward opening doors) These are required on larger shutters and are optional on smaller shutters. A Tubular motor fits inside the axle and require a 3-amp fuse. Operation is by rocker switch, key switch or remote control. A manual override can be specified to operate from inside. Where desirable a manual override can also be engaged through the outside of an externally fitted shutter box. Under these circumstances a lockable override cover is available as an optional extra to maximise security. Multi-shutter electric installations can be wired to operate from a central or group switches. |

INDUSTRIAL ROLLER SHUTTERS This type of shutter is the traditional galvanised steel product that can be seen installed to industrial units. The product is tried and tested and provides a highly visible deterrent to would be intruders. There are various options available i.e. Manual or electric operation with key switch or remote controlled, self colour galvanised or powder coated to standard colour finishes or a specific RAL or BS colour. |
